Create Your Own Large-Scale Masterpiece
Saturday 12th - Sunday 13th April, 11-4pm
Ever dreamed of painting something bold and expressive? My weekend large-scale painting course is designed to help you unleash your creativity, work big, and walk away with an original artwork you never thought you could create.
What to Expect
Over two days in my cosy Stepney City Farm studio, you’ll explore:
🎨 Bold, expressive painting techniques – from layering to mark-making
🖌 Unconventional materials – sand, recycled textures, natural pigments
📐 Guided structure – so you leave with a statement piece that feels like you

✔ Anyone who wants a one-of-a-kind painting for their home
✔ Those excited to try something new and work big
Why Join?
You don’t need prior experience—just a willingness to explore. I’ll guide you through every step, ensuring you create something you’re proud to hang. Past participants, from first-time painters to seasoned creatives, have left amazed by what they achieved in just two days.
What to Expect
On Day 1 We will make two or three initial mock-ups on paper, with paint, pastels and textures to use as our prototype. Then, taking inspiration from our prototype, we will create the initial textural layers on the canvas.
On Day 2 We’ll apply the first layers of paint. I’ll show you how to use lots of different tools and techniques. Don’t worry if you feel nervous about the large canvas; it’s actually a very freeing experience working big because you cant’ get too lost in detail. Explore materials such as mud, sand, acrylics, tissue paper, pastels and way more. We’ll switch between looking at the canvas from afar and up close to achieve a perfect balance between detail and initial impact.
What’s Included
90 x 122cm Canvas. (Upgrade to 122 x 152 cm for an extra £50.)
All acrylic paints, textures and brushes (Use oils for an extra £20)
Lunch and Snacks provided for both days
Add Prosecco across the two days for £10 extra
The Space
Nestled in Stepney City Farm, my light-filled studio is surrounded by animals, greenery, and a relaxed creative atmosphere. We'll break for a delicious home-cooked lunch at the farm’s café.
